The definite article, in Romanian expressed as a suffix, has been added in each relevant entry; NB¹: The Romanian name for a region in northeastern Romania is "Moldova" (largest town: Iași); Originally the name of a historical region and former principality, it is, nowadays, also the official English name for the independent republic (capital: Chișinău); In order to avoid confusion, I refer to them in this survey as "Moldavia (RO)" [i.e. the region] and "Moldova" [i.e. the country]; NB²: Dexonline.ro provides the contents of 66 main Romanian dictionaries; If a term is not mentioned in any of the sources of this wonderful tool, I decided to add this information to the source(s) mentioned with each individual term in the shape of my remark: "Not (as such) in Dexonline"
