Born in [?]; Originally a maker of household spinning-wheels, and, according to O’Neill, "a mechanic of conspicuous excellence"; He turned his attention to the making of Union pipes, and became the most famous in that line in Ireland, until Michael Egan, of Liverpool, won recognition and renown in the early 1840s; Kenna flourished between 1768 and 1794, but the date on which he transferred his business to Dublin cannot be stated.
