nickname(s): "Valento", "Parécia", and "Battistì de Ca’ (da) Pozz", also known as "Codeghì"

piper (&c.) mentioned by name

Born in Gandino [NE of Bergamo]; A farmer; He bought his Baghèt when only 11 years old; A certain Giuseppe Loverini, apparently known to Biella [who fails, however, to reveal any of the man’s biographic details], remembered that he, as a boy, was impressed by the fact that Savoldelli played the Baghèt with the bag under his right arm, with the drone dangling; NB: The internet source ascribes the nickname "Batistì [sic] de Ca da Pozz" to Quirino Picinali, instead (➺ the notice "Text and images are taken from" Biella's book of 2000).
