Marchi, Vittorio
1930-? [<1988?]piper (&c.) mentioned by name
Born in Cene; Considering Biella’s use of the paste tense ("I suonatori che operavano a Cene erano …"), he seems to have died before 1988, having played, for several years, an instrument that previously belonged to his father and even his grandfather; Biella states that he never played his instrument completely assembled, because it "ate" too much air, using, like his father, only 2 of the 3 drones (which one his father used to dispense with, he didn’t remember, however), and that he relied on the greater experience of [?] Bortolotti in the preparation and tuning of the reeds.
