Corda, Fedele
?-?piper (&c.) mentioned by name
[Born and?] lived in Settimo [NNE of Cagliari]; Antonio Lara told the following story [condensed by ws]: "He was a master of launeddas, who went to play in Cagliari for the novena before Christmas, as they used to do in the old days, because there was no other music. Having done his duty at Cagliari, he went home, but was approached by some well-dressed gentlemen, who asked him to play. Because he was tired, he didn’t want to, but they pressed him so long that he gave way and started to play. Whilst playing, they lifted him up in the air, carried him away at least two kilometres, then threw him in a vineyard and left. Having got on his feet again, completely confused, he did not know how it had all happened. When he came home, he went to bed and remained ill for some time. He nearly died of dispair"; NB: Was he really a live person? (Compare Antoni Nassiu ).
