Cagliari); Having started to play the Launeddas when 8 years old, he was a pupil of Antonio Lara; After a 15 year residence in Switzerland, during which he even studied piano and saxophone at the Music Academy in Zurich, he returned to San Vito; Internationally the most famous living Launeddas player, he still holds this "rank" in 2018…; A relative of Benigno and/or Giovanni?; NB¹: In Sardu [Sardinian] he is officially called Maistu [Maestro] Luisu Lai; NB²: ➺ Gianfranco Meloni, and Fabio Vargiolu; NB³: ➺ "Cuncordia a Launeddas" (Cagliari).
