1937: retired; Lived in Andrijevci; Last bagpipe maker in his village; Learned the craft from his grandfather Adam (†) and worked, according to Širola, initially only with a knife (except, of course, for turning [and, undoubtedly, making the bore of] the tubes); Price for one of his bagpipes: 10 forint [today’s rate?; ws]; Also one of the last 3 pipers in his village (➺ Ilija Dončević, and Blaž Ðurašinović); When he was "fed up" [zasitio] with one instrument, he made another, and sold his old one; NB (Andrijevci): ➺ Jozo Degmečić, Fabian Kovačić, and Bartol and Matija Markovec.
