Born and lived in Mihai Bravu (municipality Victoria [SSW of Brăila]), Muntenia; He played a Cimpoi with 2 drones, the Okarina and also Solz de pește [Fish scale]; When 15 years old, he herded sheep, together with his grandfather, who taught him to play the Fluier [a duct flute]; Later he tried to play the Cimpoi and over time his playing became excellent; When the villagers began to notice him, he became a welcome guest at parties, where he played for pleasure, not as a professional; In 1969 he built his own bagpipe; Having participated in some national and regional competitions for amateur artists, four "Certificates of recognition" adorned his home.
