In Mierczyński his name is spelt in Polish (Ołeksa Martyszczuk Petraszuk); A Hucul* who lived in Żabie-Zembronia (Żabie is the Polish name of today’s Verhovyna (Верховина) [SSW of Kolomyja (Коломия)], southern Ukraine; "Zembronia" is probably the Polish spelling of "Dzembronja" (Дземброня), a village SSW of Verhovyna); *NB: ➺ my remark regarding the Huculs in Dutka.
