Literally translated as "His bagpipe has grown together"; According to Kubik, who refers to »Nowa księga przysłów [polskich]« as his source (failing, however, to provide us with the basic bibliographical details), the word "gajdy" in this case means "legs" and, accordingly, this proverbial phrase indicates a loafer, i.e. a person who doesn’t want to budge because of an alleged leg complaint".
