a kind of "bell" on a pipe of a mouth organ
Literal translation: 共鸣: "resonance"; 管: "tube/pipe"; Each of the pieces added in recent years [i.e. ca. 2000; ws] to amplify the highest register of the Shēng, in order to correct the instrument’s imbalance, since the volume of the middle to lower tones is usually louder than that of the higher tones.
