Kačin people, Namkhai [Sachs: Namhkai], Shan State, eastern Myanmar [NE of Mandalay]; Marcuse misinterprets Sachs’ description ("ein … eckiges und darüber ein verklebtes rundes [Daumloch]" [a square [thumbhole] with a circular one stuck on top of it]), oddly concluding that the chanter has "2 rear thumbholes".
