(with) definite article: ? [ech/le?]
➺ remark(s) below [NB²]

Bagpipe, mouth-blown: 2 stocks (a: single chanter + drone / b: 1 additional drone)

Identical types: 30

Even though he refers to this name in his note on p.91, Boone doesn't mention it on the concerning page [➺ p.15 !]; Ignoring the fact that Belgium has borders with The Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg and France, he states, on p.24, that "This composition [sic] is scattered sporadically in the vicinity of our border, i.e. in the surroundings of Rijsel (Lille), but fails to specify on which side of the border (!). He adds that "we noted the name [mentioned] by informants in Bondues and Wambrechies, and in the working-class district Saint-Sauveur in Rijsel" (dépt. Nord [France]; ws); NB¹: According to Boone the type is identical to the Muchosa of the Belgian province Hainaut [Henegouwen]; NB²: According to Boone, "fou is a derivative of Latin follis (bag or bellows)", adding that Old French fol can also signify "musical instrument".
