Note, interjected between two main notes, played to suggest a staccato, or to embellish a melody; a Двоен форшлаг (Dvòen [Double] fòršlag) consists of 2 interjected notes; Notation of such "gracenotes" in traditional melodies is only considered necessary in scores written for beginners or foreigners; NB: ➺ Ornamentation.
