Bagpipe (unknown type)

Identical types: 100

From »Dicționar de termeni muzicali« (București, 2010), in which it is mentioned as a synonym of Cimpoi (it. cornamusa, zampogna; fr. biniou cornemuse, dondaine, musette; germ. Dudelsack, Sackpfeife; engl. bagpipe; rus. волинка [sic]); Not encountered as such in other sources; NB: The »Trésor de la Langue Française (TLF) des XIXe et XXe siècles«, I-II (Paris, 1971, 1994) defines it as "I. ONOMAT. [Used in the burdens of some folk songs]"; In the children’s song »En passant par la Lorraine« the word occurs at the end of each 4th line, to rhyme with the last word of the previous line (e.g. in the opening verse it is used to rhyme with "capitaines": En passant par la Lorraine avec mes sabots (bis) / Rencontrais trois capitaines, avec mes sabots dondaine / Oh, oh, oh ! avec mes sabots).
