According to Perre, "a regional French name used in inquiries of the 1980s in central Velay [Haute-Loire (Auvergne)], by informants who didn’t have close contact with the folklore movement", and "a name used, since the 1970s, for the cornemuse limousine [➺ Chabrette limousine] with a Boîtier decorated with mirrors, a chanter (with a fontanelle), a small drone parallel to the latter, and a large lateral drone; According to Eric Montbel, "a type of »musette« that for a long time was wrongly believed to be the unique model of the entire regional area".
