Mizmōr

original: ? (Hebrew)

?

NEITHER a bagpipe term, NOR related to any of the other instruments treated in this survey

Identical types: 36

NOT a bagpipe, but the Hebrew spelling (meaning "psalm") of old Semitic "Mizmār"; According to Worrell the original meaning of this term must have been "instrument of music"; It is an enigma to me why Podnos considered it necessary to include this term in his chapter "Other names", thus confusingly suggesting it to be a bagpipe name.
