Even though Leydi shows the difference between the old and new types (➺ ill.22), he fails to add the range of the former type.
Range: f-g-a-b-c; Usually plum (Prunus domestica), or sorb ~ / rowan ~ / service tree (Sorbus domestica), exceptionally beech (Fagus sylvatica); Types 1 (3 fingerholes (old)) and 2 (4 fingerholes).
