Identical types: 45

Fom Latin "avena" [oat]; NOT a Launeddas, but a term used for a single "clarinet"; The term Benas (a plurale tantum) is used for double and triple clarinets with short pipes of (almost) equal length, tied together in the same manner as the Egyptian Arġūl / Zummāra [i.e. not divergently]; The main differences with the Launeddas are [1]: the fact that these instruments have common circular fingerholes, and [2]: that the surface of the tongue of their reed(s) is scratched off; NB: ➺ Benas (Launeddas).
