Ciaramedda

A different model of the Zampogna a chiave, with smaller dimensions than that of Palermo-Monreale (➺ Ciaramedda (1)); Now extinct, it has been reported by some pipers of the older generation of Monreale; Cìnisi, a small coastal town WNW of Palermo, is indicated as the place of origin of the players of the "small" bagpipe; Since Bonanzinga fails to add details of the instrument, I have to limit myself to refer to the name of the only player mentioned by him: Vincenzo Briguglio; NB: ➺ homonyms, &c.
