Diplye

Diple s mijehom

Dubious spelling in Marcuse and, as usual, Podnos who ignorantly and erroneously claim that the instrument is either mouth- or bellows-blown, both dubiously referring to Brömse, who, however, correctly calls it Diple, adding that "ihre Pfeifen sowohl durch den Balg als auch direkt angeblasen werden" [their pipes are blown either by the bag or directly (i.e. as a hornpipe; ws)], in the context of which "Balg" [i.e. bag] should definitely not be translated as "bellows" (in Croatian: mijeh, mišina, and/or mješina; ➺ Diple (s mijehom), &c.).
