From накит (nàkit [jewellery]); A leather fringe, dangling from the chanter bell (Rog) of the Erske gajde (district Sokobanja); Usually some decorations are added, such as đinđuva, small pieces of mirror, beads, &c., and sometimes even an eagle’s (or rooster’s) nail (➺ Nokat), or a wild boar’s tooth (➺ Zub od vepra), which are mainly used to manipulate the wax used for tuning purposes, but gradually also have acquired the sense of amulets.
