Term used in the villages east of Bistrița (northeastern Transylvania) for the witty couplets, shouted by the dancing lads; Commonly they are called "strigături"; According to Habenicht, "the term is still used, even though the Cimpoi is not played anymore in the region"; NB: ➺ Cimpoi, Cimpoia.
