Adjectives, used to describe ridiculously cheerful persons (Es un viejo gaitero [He’s an old "fool"]); The term is also used to describe showy, extravagantly coloured clothes or adornment, and even, though rarely, to describe a person who wears such clothes or adornment; NB¹: The collective noun for such clothes is "gaitería"; NB²: ➺ homonyms.
