Albokalari / Albokari (-)

(with) definite article: ?
(the) alboka player

any person who plays some kind of bagpipe (&c.)

Identical types: 127

According to Pío Fernández, »The ‘Albogues’ in Spain« (➺ website) "The musician that played (and usually also built) the albokas was called ‘albokari’ or ‘albokero’ in Basque language (Euskera [ which is the Spanish spelling of Basque Euskara; ws])", but to me this statement seems linguistically incorrect; In fact, I have the impression that Albokero is a "semi-hispanification", instead!

Alboguero, Albokero, Alboquero
