According to McCandless, a bagpipe, referring to Marcuse as his source (who, however, clearly defines it as a hornpipe); The description (by José R. Cid Cebrián, 2001) of the instrument mentioned in the song-book of Dámaso Blas Ledesma Hernández (1866-1928) suggests a shawm, though; NB: ➺ homonyms, and compare Gaida, Gajda and similar terms.
