From "picar" [to mince] ? + "irreal" [unreal]; Ligature, executed by briefly lifting 1 finger between two tones with the same pitch; There are 4 types (➺ details [examples refer to a Gaita redonda]): on G: the ring finger of the upper hand is lifted; on A: the middle finger of the upper hand is lifted; on B: the index finger of the upper hand is lifted; on C: either the thumb, index finger and middle finger are lifted, or only the thumb and index finger, or (only to the left of an A) only the thumb; NB: ➺ Picado (types).
