Säckpipa

Woodcuts in Olaus Magnus (1490-1557), »Carta marina [Marine map]« (1539) and in his »Historia de Gentibus Septentrionalibus [History of the Northern Peoples]« (1555) should, according to Gudmundson, be regarded with caution, "especially the illustrations", because at the time of the 1st edition(s) "Magnus had not visited his homeland for 30 years, and engaged the help of artists whose pictures often bear witness to a greater familiarity with life on the continent than that in the harsh north".

A rather wide conical chanter, 2 conical inclined drones.
