Kobza* (f)

original: кобза

bagpipe term also used for chordophones

Identical types: 7

NOT a bagpipe, but a homonym, that is a quite common corruption of "koza" [goat], which occurs in Austria, Czechia, Poland, and Ukraine. Actually, Kobza is a correct transliteration of the name of a Ukrainian traditional lute (Compare Cobza, which is the name of its Romanian equivalent).
