Collective term for all fringes decorating the bag and stocks, &c.; The predominant colour is red; NB¹: Individually they are called "flòc" (plural: flocasses [➺ p.35], or flòcs [p.36]);
NB²: Those at the end of the chanter (Graile) and drone (Bonda) also serve as a protection; NB³: The translation as "tuft" [➺ p.35] is incorrect.
