Ciaramedda [?] (? [f?])

(with) definite article: ?
plural: Ciaramedd [?]; (with) definite article: ? [li?]

From Giovanni Tancredi, »Folclore garganico« (Manfredonia, 1938), in which the author informs us that "Among thousands of companies there are those who sing the Orapronobis [sic] to the sound [of] dli [i.e. degli?] ciaramedd and among them the most important is that of Atina [prov. Frosinone, Lazio; ws], which usually arrives on the evening of 7 May"; NB¹: Taking in consideration that the text refers to Gargano [prov. Foggia], I assume that the author uses the local, instead of the "foreign" name (Zampogna); NB²: ➺ homonyms, &c.
