Name of the "grandes chabrettes", played in the west of dépt. Creuse, in the XIXth century, notably in Germont de Nedde; According to Montbel, the most complete remaining instrument can be found in the famous instrument collection (➺ Exhibition catalogue, 1893, inv. EA.631) of banker [sic] Daniël François Scheurleer (1855-1927), who was also a musicologist; From 1933 till 2021 his collection had been housed in the Gemeente-museum, Den Haag (The Hague) and since 2000 the instrument collection is managed by the "Stichting Nederlands Muziekinstituut" [Dutch Music Institute Foundation], (Den Haag); Since 2001 the collection is stored in the depot of the museum (the name of which was
changed in 2019 into "Kunstmuseum Den Haag"), it has no longer been on display to the public, NB: ➺ All Chabra, &c.
