NOT a bagpipe, and not even a musical instrument, but a dance in Oltenia, where also a "Hora din Cimpoi" [The dance of the bagpipe] and a "Sîrba [after 1992: Sârbă] din cimpoi" are played; NB¹: "Sîrba / Sârbă", which is also a type of dance, translates as "Serbian", though in Serbia the version is known as "Vlaški" [Wallachian], instead ...; NB² (ws): Because it is the name of a dance (and its melody), the indefinte form "Cimpoi" is in this particular case not used, of course; NB³: Compare Cimpoiasca.
