NOT a bagpipe, but according to G.H.F. Nesselmann, »Wörterbuch der littauischen [sic] Sprache« (Königsberg, 1851): "ein von Birken- oder Weidenbast gewundenes Blasinstrument, ein Hirtenhorn" [A wind instrument wound of birch or willow bast, a shepherd's horn].
