Postarèl

Literally translated as "washer" (a small flat ring made of metal, rubber, or plastic fixed under a nut or the head of a bolt to spread the pressure when tightened or between two joining surfaces as a spacer or seal), I also encountered such definitions like "a small disk of glass used as an ornament in a stained-glass window" and "a flat bead, often of rock crystal or onyx, used in a necklace as a spacer between contrasting stones".
