Transliteration in Elsner/Jabès, who translate "ġab" as "Rohr / Schilfrohr" (cane), mentioning the name among the "various sizes and varieties", but unfortunately fail to provide essential details; NB¹: ➺ Arġul ġāb; NB²: According to Elsner/Jabès the term Sibs (also Sibz) is also "used by the folk musicians to denote several small, high-pitched types of wind instruments of the class of flutes, oboes and clarinets".
