Electronic bagpipe made by Fagerström; Introduced as being "perfect to play on buses, trains etc."; Having a "dual capability", it can be set up to simulate either French bagpipes fingering or Northumbrian smallpipes; NB¹ (February 2025): Notice on website: "This product has been discontinued due to electronic component shortages"; NB² (plurale tantum): The term is also used when referring to 1 instrument only; NB³: One of the internet sources explicitly mentions an Uilleann Technopipe by Fagerstroem [sic], and a British internet shop offers (2025), oddly, without mentioning the name Fagerström (!) an "Uilleann version", "Combined versions" with 10 varieties (2 of which have a choice between the sounds of 2 different bagpipe types, and 8 with a choice beteen the sounds of 3 different types), and even a "Multi version" with [the sound of] 13 different types in one set (Highland pipes, Scottish Smallpipes, Uilleann pipes, Northumbrian Keyless Smallpipes, Galician Gaita, Asturian Gaita, French 16" Cornemuse, French 20" Cornemuse, Swedish Säckpipa, Bulgarian Gaida, Medieval pipes, and Bock bagpipes); Moreover, they offer "any other combination of pipes” to the choice of a client. ; NB4: ➺ Electronic pipes (Sources).
