According to Mahfoufi, "hautbois d’outre", meaning: "cornemuse sans hautbois [without [sic (!)] shawm]", adding that "It is a clarinet with two twin reeds [i.e. tubes], topped or not with a horn, with a single or double beating reed]. NB: In my perception this description is rather enigmatic and utterly questionable.
