bagpipe term also used for other aerophones
NOT a bagpipe, but a term of Spanish origin, used in several South-American countries (Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Perú) for the Syrinx (Panpipe); Locally it has names like Siku/Sicu or Sikuri/Sicuri ("tube that gives sound" in the Aymara language, spoken in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile and Peru) and, more widespread, Antara or Pusa, among several ethnic groups (Aymara, Quechua, Colla (Qulla), Likan-Antay, &c.) in Andean Ecuador, Bolivia and Peru, and the northern ranges of Argentina and Chile.
