Info:A community for players of various types of Celtic pipes across Australia. Through events [e.g. a Celtic Pipes Pub session scheduled for 3 March 2020; ws] and online activities, pipers of all levels can access resources and share ideas, music and friendship. Objectives mentioned in the official rules of the association are (e.g.): to promote the development of Celtic bagpipes and piping in Australia, to generate opportunities for individuals and groups to play or experience Celtic bagpipes, and to encourage the study, practice, performance and development of the musical repertoire. The website offers descriptions of the various instruments (Border pipes (BP), Scottish smallpipes (SSP), Shuttle pipes (ShP), Pastoral / Union / Uilleann Pipes (UP), Lowland pipes, Cauld wind pipes, Northumbrian smallpipes (NSP), and Great Highland Bagpipes (GHB), with "individual" links to the Scottish Smallpipes and Uilleann Pipes) and other useful information.
