Balkan peninsula

NB¹: ➺ Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, and Yugoslavia (the former federation, except Slovenia).
NB²: Romania is often referred to as a Balkan country, but being located North of the Danube it should in my perception be considered as one of the "Eastern Carpathian" countries.
