Clough, Henry

Father of Tom, he is the first member of the family known to have written tunes down (a tune book of his survives); On several occasions Henry and Tom were invited to play at Alnwick Castle, including once on the occasion of a royal visit in 1905; The Northumbrian Small Pipes Society awarded him its Gold Medal (➺ Richard Mowat).
