Born [and lived?] in Chiappa (a fraction of Montoggio [W of Torriglia] Scrivia valley, Liguria); A pifferaio and Musa player, he used to take part in hunting trips, walking to the area of Cosola (Borbera valley), Bogli and Belnome (Boreca valley), where he could meet other players. Of his five children, 3 were accordionists and 1 a very good dancer, but none of them was dedicated to their father’s instruments; Sensing that the tradition in his area was becoming extinct, he wanted his pipe to be buried with him, but his relatives did not support that, and at the end of the 20th century the instrument was discovered by pifferaio Claudio Cacco.
