Born, lived and worked in Fontecostanza (a fraction of Scapoli, prov. Isernia); Undoubtedly the most famous and esteemed maker of Zampogne in Molise, he started his craft after World War II, surpassing all makers before him; During the more than 50 years of his activities he made hundreds of bagpipes; Without losing sight of the basic elements of his craft, he was constantly searching for technical improvements, and especially his instruments of the 1980s and 1990s are excellent in sonorous and aesthetic aspects; His son-in-law, Palmerino Caccia (1913-1991) is considered the most expert craftsman of reeds for Zampogna and Ciaramella; NB: ➺ Benedetto Di Fiore, Angelo Di Petta, and Angelo Guatieri.
