Born in Koniaków-Szańce; Having learned to play the Gajdy from his father, Paweł [1], he also inherited the instrument; He was an employee of the Gminna Spółdzielnia „Samopomoc Chłopska” [Municipal Cooperative "Peasant Selfservice"] in Milówka* [➺ Andrzej Stańco; ws], and a popular fireman of the Volunteer Fire-brigade in Koniaków, but he was known mainly as the founder and custodian of the Regional Chamber in Koniaków, where he usually/occasionally [?] played the Gajdy, ocarina and fujarki; He had five siblings, four brothers of whom played in the brass band "Sianciorze" [i.e. Szańczorze [people of Szańce]; ws] in Koniaków; His son Tadeusz could also play the Gajdy; NB: ➺ Sziańcziarski gajdy.
