Born in Soblówka [SSW of Żywiec]; In some records in the protocol of the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw [Polska Akademia Nauk (PAN)] he is also known as Sobiel; He played together with violinist Jan Kiełbasa; One of their joint performances (together with singer Wiktoria Sporek) was recorded in Soblówka during the "Action of Collection Musical Folklore" of 1954.
