Mentioned by Day, who fails to specify its area (region) of occurrence, but refers to the same type in the Punjâb; NB¹: Baines refers to reports about the existence of the instrument in the same territories, but fails to mention its name; The only other source in which I encountered a reference to a bagpipe in Afghanistan is Svetlina Denova, who refers to Day as her source; NB²: = Masak (India), and Néï-ambân (Azerbaijan); NB³: All references found on the internet regarding bagpipes in Afghanistan relate to the Scottish Highland Pipes only!
