Mostak
bagpipe term also used for other aerophones
NOT a bagpipe, but an erroneous entry in Podnos, who dubiously refers to Julian Ribera, »Music in ancient Arabia and Spain« (1929), p.98, in which it is clearly described, however, [on p.93 (!)] as "a Chinese instrument made of pipes or flutes bound together. The Persian name of this instrument was Bisamosta (bagpipes?)"; Possibly a Syrinx (Panpipe).
