Bisamosta (gender unknown)

bagpipe term also used for other aerophones

Identical types: 45

NOT a bagpipe, but a term, clearly misinterpreted by Podnos, who dubiously refers to Julián Ribera, »Music in ancient Arabia and Spain« (1929), p.98, in which it is only mentioned [on p.94 (!)] as the Persian name of the Chinese Mostak (an "instrument made of pipes or flutes bound together"); Possibly a Syrinx (Panpipe).
