Mentioned in one of the works of troubadour Peire d'Auvergne (ca. 1130-1168); NB: According to Alexandre the plural form is enflabots, whereas in Wikipedia it is spelt enflabotz;
NB: In »Folklore« 170 (Été 1978, p.16) Urbain Gibert refers to René Nelli, who mentions "un joueur d’ «enfla-bot»", explaining "ᅳ que « enfla-bot [» (lacking!)] = enfle-outre [i.e. "outre gonflé" / "swollen-bag" (?)] = cornemuse".
